ABSTRACT

The resemblance between the remembrance of an operational presentation and that of the simple figurative models to which we have drawn the reader's attention can only be verified in part, since the figures presented to the child might be considered (and from a certain level onwards, rightly so) as representing states resulting from operational transformations. Hence, we shall now go on to examine the remembrance of a model to which the above qualification does not apply. Admittedly, all configurations whatsoever constitute so many states involving prior transformations, but these do not generally correspond to simple operations.
