ABSTRACT
Angela de Castro born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,1955 widely acclaimed clown shows include The Gift; My Life Is Like A Yo-Yo; Only Fools, No Horses, a show about the Shakespearean fools; Laughing Matters; and her clown opera Alleluia. She has recognized in the UK and abroad, receiving a Laurence Olivier Award (UK), the Golden Nose Award and fellowships from the NESTA Dreamtime Fellowship, the Arts Foundation, and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She is internationally recognized for her research, performing, and teaching on the art of clowning. Angela was 12 she started in Brazil by accident. She wanted to be a writer. she started to write things when she was very young, 11, her mother thought that was a bit weird. Angela's teacher was an amazing woman called Frankie Anderson. The Mummers and Dadas MUMMERANDADA Circus Theatre Company. She already had own solo show. She developed own clown persona.
