ABSTRACT

Most people find writing an academic text difficult in their native language; writing a research project in a foreign language makes the writing task even more challenging. This section offers practical guidance on drafting each chapter of the project. People are unlikely to start writing their research project at the introduction and finish when they reach the Conclusion. The Introduction is one of the most important chapters of the work and they will probably draft and redraft this chapter several times. The Literature Review chapter discusses and ap-praises previous studies related to the topic. This discussion provides both context for the work and the opportunity to identify the particular contribution of the study. Data gathered from questionnaires or test results, interviews, open questions or focus-group discussions generate descriptive, personalized responses, known as qualitative data. As this information is not numerical, it needs to be displayed and analysed in a different way from quantitative data compiled from a questionnaire or test.
