ABSTRACT
A major reason for including pupils with SEND in mainstream schools is the opportunity for social interaction. Among other children of the same age through the secondary school years, pupils with SEND gain good models of appropriate language and behavior, and other pupils in the school learn about disability and become more accepting of diversity in society.
