Most aspiring investigators understand much of the material discussed in Chapter 1. They also know that this understanding does not ensure success. Despite some experience, many are still looking for the answer to the question they asked as rookies: “How does a good interviewer act?” They want to know what behavior distinguishes the profi cient from the mediocre.
