Sunday, January 5, 1997, at 5:00 a.m., a 34-year-old black female was using a pay phone on the 6300 block of Hil-Mar Drive in Forestville, Maryland, a suburb located in the southeast region of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The phone booth was near a gas station directly across from a small shopping mall on a busy street lined with large apartment complexes. A black male with a chipped or missing tooth approached the woman, riding a bicycle and wearing a green camouflage coat and a black ski mask. The woman was crying, and the man, whom she had seen in the area earlier, offered to let her use his home phone. The woman accompanied the man to a complex on Hil-Mar Drive, where he claimed his apartment was located. They entered an apartment that turned out to be vacant, where the man produced a handgun and raped the woman. (M.O., Suspect Description)

19, 1997, at 12:46 a.m., a 25-year-old home from her job at a fast food restaurant Her route followed Marlboro Pike, a road with and pedestrian traffic that took her past a across from a wooded area. As she reached had seen in the area earlier, riding a black speed bicycle, approached the woman. He was approximately 25 years old, five feet seven inches tall, and weighed 150 pounds. He struck up a conversation with the woman, then drew a gun and forced her into the wooded area, raped her, then left the scene on his bicycle. Monday, November 20, 2000, at 6:00 p.m., a 35-year-old white female was walking into her townhouse community located in Alexandria, Virginia. A black male approached her, approximately five feet ten inches tall, wearing a black ski cap, t-shirt, and blue cargo pants. He asked for directions, and as she began to answer, he pulled out a knife, placed the woman in a headlock, and forced her behind a row of townhouses. He attempted to rob and rape her, but the woman, who was in the military, wrestled the knife from the suspect, and he fled. Investigators were able to lift the suspect’s DNA from skin cells left on the blade of the knife. (DNA)

Friday, December 28, 2001, at 7:30 p.m., a 29-year-old black female was waiting at a bus stop next to a wooded area in Alexandria, Virginia, near a busy intersection surrounded by apartment complexes. A black male smoking a cigarette approached her and asked the victim when the next bus would arrive and, as she attempted to answer, the five foot eight inch, one-hundred-eighty pound man pulled out a knife and forced the woman into an apartment complex across the street. He led her behind a large electrical box hidden by shrubs and attempted to rob her, stating he knew she must have money because she “works all the time.” He then told the woman to remove one shoe and a leg from her pants. He told the woman to “stop shaking” and pulled her clothes over her face as he raped her. The suspect’s DNA was collected from evidence collected in the victim’s rape kit. (DNA)

Saturday, January 28, 2006, at 2:21 a.m., a 46-year-old black female was in her multi-family home in New Haven, Connecticut, a run-down

for drug trafficking and prostitution. A black and speaking with a Caribbean accent entered door that opened onto a back porch. suspect defecated on the porch and trailed victim’s home. He threatened her by telling her the upstairs bedroom with her 15-year-old He then demanded the woman “stop shaking” and covered her face with a bed sheet while he raped her. As he left the scene, the attacker stole twenty-four dollars cash and took the victim’s mobile phones. (M.O.)

Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 1:21 a.m., a 27-year-old female was asleep in the bedroom of her first floor apartment located in New Haven, Connecticut. She awoke to find a black male who had entered the residence through an unlocked window in the bedroom. He wore a knit cap and spoke with an accent when he threatened to kill the woman’s elevenmonth-old son, who was sleeping in a crib in the same room. He placed a pillowcase over the victim’s head and raped her. After raping her, he asked the victim if she “liked it,” then scolded her for not locking her windows with a baby in the apartment. A rape kit produced a DNA sample from the attacker. (DNA)

Friday, October 31, 2009, at 9:11 p.m., three young black females were walking home after trick-or-treating in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Woodbridge, Virginia. As the girls passed through a strip mall and a 24-hour drugstore, they were approached from behind by a black male in his forties, wearing a black ski mask and brandishing a handgun. The man, speaking through clenched teeth, forced the three girls into a secluded wooded area. As he raped the two older victims, the third victim used her mobile phone to call for help, detailing their location. The youngest girl’s mother rushed to the scene, approaching the wooded area from one side as police lights and sirens approached from the other. The assailant fled through the trees and was not apprehended by the police; however, DNA samples were collected from the rape victims.
