Laboratory Exercise: Footwear and Tire Impressions

Classroom Course—If you are completing Laboratory #8 in a classroom setting, use your current shoe and examine the sole for class and individual characteristics. Turn off the lights in the classroom and, using side lighting from a flashlight, illuminate the floor. See if you can find two-dimensional impressions on either the tile floor or the carpet.
