ABSTRACT

From the beginning, the most important work has been about helping people to make “The Big Change”—deep, genuine, personal, and spiritual transformation.

A friend of one of the authors was posed an interesting question: Are we physical beings having a spiritual experience or spiritual beings having a physical experience? In the context of our “timeless” journey and our quest for peace, it is the latter. The main difference between a spiritual path and a typical contemporary strategy for personal happiness is that one is about the self, and the other is about moving beyond that very self. The bigger journey is not about being comfortable or nice or safe. It is not primarily about living in a supportive environment. We may need some special support for a while, but when genuine transformation happens, we are able to go anywhere, be among any kind of people, and not be distracted from our sense of peace and goodwill.
