ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the modern forms of power relations revolve around the properties of the things everyone seek to direct, Foucault's historical research went on to show how the biological properties of human beings or express utility in particular, became the object of governance. As Foucault observed in relation to the influential Freiburg School of economic theory, especially: The Freiburg School did not just develop an economic theory, or even a doctrine. The key point to bear in mind in relation to the category of economy, as indeed in relation to all the key categories involved in this analysis including later, for example, contingency as well as freedom, economy and government, is that economy is not a universal. Government and economy were linked from the outset of Foucault's analysis of modern power relations. Foucault tells everyone that the first attempt at providing a political rationality of state power in terms of this developing account of government was mercantilism.
