ABSTRACT

Crowdsourcing is the result of over two years of research, interviews, outlining and writing. It involved a number of rewrites and an incredible amount of changes and editing on the fly just due to the fact of how quickly technology moves and the aspects of film crowdsourcing change. The author engaged filmmakers and kept them interested and involved every step of the way. The author hoped that they were engaged not only by his words, but by the varied case studies. These filmmakers and producers are not only innovators and great thinkers, they're trailblazers. Filmmakers may have been part of a crowd that the author identified either through Stage 32, social media channels or perhaps a plethora of various offline and online initiatives. There is no greater honor for an author than to know that his or her work is enjoyed by the reader.
