ABSTRACT

This chapter explores why constructing phasor diagrams for series parallel AC circuits become so difficult. Then it provides solution for simple series-parallel AC circuits, using the technique of resolving phasors. After sketching a fully labelled circuit diagram, the single most important step in solving any AC circuit is always to construct its phasor diagram, from which practically all the equations are ever likely to need can then be derived without having to make any serious effort to commit them to memory. Constructing a phasor diagram for a series-parallel circuit follows exactly the same principles similar to series circuits and parallel circuits. Next, the chapter deals with a phasor diagram and uses the principle for a series-parallel AC circuits.
