Witchcraft in early modern literature: “the witchcraft renaissance”

This chapter examines the key canonical works of literature that dealt with witchcraft in early-modern and later seventeenth-century England. These famous works set the tone for a great deal of the later global writing on witchcraft, in all kinds of genres: narrative, dramatic, filmic, graphic, digital and poetic.
