ABSTRACT
The EU cohesion and growth policy is a structural policy that addresses very long-standing problems, so the outlook of the policy needs to cover a very long period too. The objective of this chapter is to make such a forward-looking analysis. As a point of departure for that analysis we will use the main lessons drawn from past experience.
