ABSTRACT
This conclusion chapter presents some closing thoughts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses the methods and methodologies of data processing and the different migration related issues. It focuses on student migration as this forms an important area of mobility. Return migration is relevant for its impact on the country's job markets and remittances. Short-term projections of return emigrants (REMs) and the findings based on the several rounds of Kerala Migration Survey (KMS), have been included. Use of panel data is the focus of and it exposes readers to handling panel data and its variations. The appendices presented in the chapter are produced the survey modules used to conduct the migrations surveys and its impact on return migration, women, children, and the elderly. It provides an excellent opportunity to researchers to learn the technical aspects of conducting international migration research in any part of the world.
