Like so many things in life, the ubiquity of multiple-choice questions around us provides us with a false sense of familiarity. We know them, sure, but how well do we really know them? Kind of like social media “friends”. Let us begin, then, by making sure we understand just what a multiple-choice question is, then we can move on to what makes a good MCQ.
