ABSTRACT
The main issue that the survivors have to deal with is disorientation and therefore lack of ability to locate and use the escape
windows. However, other signicant factors such as daytime versus night time survival, effect of cold temperature of water causing hypothermia, ability to use survival equipment, possibility of injuries during escape from the helicopter are some of the areas that offshore workers need to be aware of to increase their chances of survival.
