Richard Swinburne book
Richard Swinburne (b. 1934) retired from his position as Nolloth Professor of the Philosophy of the Christian Religion at the University of Oxford in 2002. He is perhaps the foremost philosopher of religion of the past hundred years. In addition, he has contributed to the philosophy of space and time, con# rmation theory, general metaphysics and epistemology, and the philosophy of mind. His work in these areas has frequently been generated and applied in the course of his reasoning about God and religious faith. For example, the # rst half of e Christian God consists of general essays on substance, thisness, causation, time and necessity. Swinburne himself is a Christian.
