ABSTRACT

The World Economic Forum is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas. The World Economic Forum's Global Education Initiative emphasizes human capital and entrepreneurship education promoted through partnerships between business, government, and civil society. UNESCO officials expressed their desire to work with the World Economic Forum to ensure partnerships with business. The World Economic Forum's human capital index adds another Olympiad in world competition along with Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) test scores. The World Economic Forum launched its first education initiative in a multistakeholder partnership between Cisco, a leading technology company, and the Jordanian government. It advocates teaching skills related to entrepreneurial education. Entrepreneurial skills are to stimulate the creation of new companies and to help corporate workers think out of the box.
