ABSTRACT
So Jack went out in the barn and laid down in the hay. Wasn't long 'fore he heard the devil cornin'. He heard his chain first. Jack got kind of frightened. The devil walked up. "Hello, Jack,” he says, “you here?” "Yes,” says Jack. Well he says, “Jack, you must come with me.” “Oh no,” says Jack. Devil said, “I'll let you free, Jack, if you'll show me a trick.”
