ABSTRACT

Most electric cars will be charged at home, but national infrastructures are developing. Many businesses now also provide charging stations for staff and visitors. There are competing organizations and commercial companies controlling charge points. Current sensors monitor the power consumed, and maintain the charging connection if the demand is within a predetermined range. It is strongly recommended that home charging sockets and wiring are installed and approved by a qualified electrician. Charge time for an electric vehicles depends on the type of vehicle, how discharged the battery is and the type of charge point used. Powerwall is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, and powers your home in the evening. Wireless power transfer (WPT) is a means to increase the range of an electric vehicle without substantial impact on the weight or cost. With stationary charging, the electric energy is transferred to a parked vehicle.
