ABSTRACT
Computer-aided translation can be defi ned as the use of computer-based tools to assist human translators during the translation process. As remarked by Bowker (2002: 60), a wide range of tools is encompassed by this defi nition. However, the term ‘computer-aided translation’ is limited to software that is specifi cally intended for translation tasks, excluding other general applications.
