ABSTRACT

Lévi-Strauss speaks of himself as the bricoleur, the resourceful person adaptive enough to get inside the systems of myths and discover their coherence. Pierre Vidal-Naquet finds the Lévi-Straussian structuralist model to be a “heuristic instrument” 1 for The Black Hunter (1981) and a study written with Jacques Le Goff on Chrétien de Troyes’ Yvain entitled “Lévi-Strauss en Brocéliande.”
