ABSTRACT
Eurythmy as a subject is part of the Steiner Waldorf school curriculum from kindergarten through to the 12th class. It is an art of movement that is used both for education and also for artistic performance. In performing Eurythmy gestures we visualise the movement of the creative forces that precede language and music. During Eurythmy lessons the children enter into the creative movements of language and music through their own movements. Eurythmy therapy may be used to help a child with learning difficulties or developmental problems. Television (TV) is embedded in culture and taken for granted to such a degree that it is often difficult for question its value. TV, videos and computer games are make the children unhealthily 'still' and stifle their own imaginations. Through Steiner Waldorf education, we encourage children's natural capacity to be highly sensitive to their environment and the people around them.
