ABSTRACT
The previous chapter in this section on Teaching Listening surveyed several approaches to teaching listening, and extracted key principles that can be used to teach listening skills. All of the outlined approaches have emphasized an essential role for input. This chapter will examine the particular dimensions of input that are involved in language development.
