ABSTRACT
Whatever approach we choose to adopt for teaching listening, it is important to deliver the approach effectively through thoughtful instructional design. Instructional design encompasses the selection, adaptation, and chunking of input; the planning of tasks in linked stages; the incorporation of meaningful interaction and collaboration where possible, and providing feedback that is useful to the learner.
