A production manager cannot be successful working as an island. In order for the production

manager to be effective in their position, it is important to have allies and good relationships with everyone. You wouldn’t be able to get your work accomplished effectively and efficiently without having these relationships firmly planted in your toolbox. It is well known that

stress levels are reduced when one has strong relationships. This is not only true for everyday

life, but this is also true for the production manager, as it is in your best interest to keep stress levels in the workplace to a minimum in order to get the creative work done on time and on budget. As a production manager, you can act as a positive role model, especially in times of

high stress. If you can remain calm in a stressful work environment, it will be much easier for

your creative team and production staff to stay calm. That is the ultimate goal for the successful production manager, as having a calm staff can help lead to more meaningful relationships.
