ABSTRACT
This chapter and the next (Chapter 8) will review the techniques and approaches adopted when using NRM2 for the measurement of concrete and steel-framed buildings. While this is a departure from the residential ‘theme’ that runs through the other chapters of this text, the techniques adopted will be familiar. Depending on the construction method in question, any one of three (or more) NRM2 work sections may be deployed when measuring a concrete-framed building, including NRM2 11 In situ Concrete, NRM2 12 Precast/ Composite concrete and NRM2 13 Precast Concrete. For the measurement of a steel-framed building, NRM2 work section 15 Structural Metalwork gives the recommended proce - dure for recording dimensions (see Chapter 8).
