ABSTRACT
The measurement of pitched and flat roofs conveniently divides between the roof structure and the roof covering. Many of the waste calculations detailed in the previous chapter (Structural timber) are equally applicable here. In practice, the measurement of roof coverings will follow the measurement of the roof structure and is likely to be carried out by the same person. Eaves and barge boarding, together with guttering and downpipes, are normally included as part of the measurement of roof coverings.
