ABSTRACT

This final chapter will concen trate on an essential phase of the event project management process. The project comple tion and review stage is the final segment that completes the event plan ning cycle and ensures that all aspects of the project reach proper conclu sions and that any lessons learnt are taken forward and included in future projects. This phase can all too easily be completed in haste or, worse, be overlooked in the rush to break down and move on to the next project. Bowdin et al. (2011, 212) state, ‘it is only through eval u ation that event managers can determ ine how success ful their efforts have been in achiev ing whatever goals and/or object ives they have set’. The import ance and signi fic ance of project review and comple tion should not be ignored.
