ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the bezel of wisdom of divinity. Praise is to God who has sent down from eternity kinds of wisdom upon the hearts of the perfect humans in a unique right way, even if the sects and religious communities vary because of the variety of nations. May God bless and protect him who bestows spiritual aspirations from the treasuries of generosity and kindness through the most valuable statements. The bezel of each kind of wisdom is the essence ascribed to it. Sometimes Ibn al- Arabi seems to refer to the stones rather than to the bezels. Sells, Mystical Languages Hikma means the knowledge of things as they really are and acting accordingly. In this meaning it is identical to philosophy. The Sufis regard Hikma as designating the hidden knowledge and Ibn al- Arabi follows them. The source of the book is equivalent to the Preserved Tablet, the heavenly scripture, from which the Quran was taken.
