ABSTRACT

This introduction presents an overview of key concepts discussed in the subsequent chapters of this book. The book discusses the research tools and habits that the experts of marriage already have learned on their own. It describes the skills that book focus on healthy collaborative habits. People who master these habits will find that they experience gains of relationships including their partnerships, sibling relationships, and parent/child relationships. The book provides an engaging format to teach the lessons we know about healthy marriages. It explores in leading pre-marital couples to their own success stories. While most pre-marital counseling programs typically teach couples better communication and problem-solving skills, further emphasis should focus on the specific needs of the couple. The book provides the clinicians how to tailor their treatment to address specific problems each individual couple may face.
