ABSTRACT

This chapter is written as a guide for teachers, coaches, and other educators related specifically to the implementation of Cooperative Learning in their schools or educational settings. Drawing on cutting-edge research (as yet unpublished), it will show how teachers and coaches can begin to adapt the model to their own context and the learning needs of individual learners. For example, drawing on the work of Goodyear (2015) it will show how teachers at a secondary school in the UK initially learned about and adopted the model as a departmental approach to teaching physical education. It shows how they became an award-winning department and role models for other users of the approach.
