ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses mainly on group assessment and participation. It explores how students carried out their group project in the Geology case. The chapter also analyses aspects of the Business case that focused on group work, oral presentations and different forms of participation. Lung-Sang Chan is a professor in the Department of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Science, Hong Kong University. Chan was awarded a university teaching fellowship in 2004 and was a winner of a university distinguished teaching award in 2009. His research interests include the tectonics and geology of South China. Ali Farhoomand is Professor of Innovation and Information Management in the School of Business, Hong Kong University. He has received two faculty teaching awards as well as the University Outstanding Teaching Award in 2008. He specialises in the development and dissemination of business cases, and is the director of the Centre for Asian Business Cases.
