If a child is disrupting the session remind them of the ground rules and reflect that 'It can be hard following the rules but I'd really like you to'. If there are disruptions to the session by meetings taking place in the room or drums playing loudly nearby, ensure that all staffs are made aware beforehand that the room will be used. If people walk in during the session, remind them you are doing the group and ask them to come back later, put a sign on the door and reflect that 'It's important that we're not disturbed because our time together is valuable'. If a child wants to give you their folder rather than take it with them, reflect that 'Maybe you want to leave me something to make sure I remember you, but I'll still see you around school and you can always come and talk to me if you'd like to'.
