ABSTRACT
The group facilitator can be a learning mentor, teaching assistant, support worker, family worker or other role within the school who has a thorough understanding of children’s social and emotional development and is confident at working with small groups. They need to be interested in emotional well-being and developing new skills to manage children’s behaviour, have a capacity for some self-reflection, and a willingness to try using the reflective language skills described.
