ABSTRACT

The vital role that school staff play in contributing to children's emotional well-being cannot be underestimated and can be utilised more to ensure it is maximised to its full capacity. The quality of the relationship between adults and children is crucial and every interaction can have a positive and meaningful outcome. The sense of purpose and importance developed by offering children the opportunity to help with jobs enables them to feel better about themselves. One of the joys of working in schools can be the opportunity to build relationships in an informal manner with children. All school staffs have a responsibility to invest time, thought, energy and commitment into exploring how they can contribute to and enhance children's emotional well-being on a daily basis. Every member of school staff has a role to play in helping children reach their full potential.
