ABSTRACT
What is ideology? Ideology as a concept is not easy to defi ne. Perhaps it is helpful to regard ideology as ‘applied philosophy’. It links philosophical ideas to the contemporary world, it provides a comprehensive and systematic perspective whereby human society can be understood, and it provides a framework of principles from which policies can be developed.
