ABSTRACT
The previous 13 chapters have been designed to influence and assist every educational leader in developing and sustaining the aptitude required to build bridges between schools and communities. Although some chapters have focused on specific communi - cation techniques that will make this mission easier, there have also been numerous citations of research to convince all readers that strong, purposeful communication between the school and the community is, in fact, beneficial. Examples have been provided to further assist in this process.
