ABSTRACT

Dennis Wedlick began his career as an architect with a twelve-year apprenticeship to Philip Johnson. Focusing on both residential and urban planning projects, he founded his own architectural firm in 1992. Based in New York City (NY) and Hudson, NY, the firm has been awarded both Builder Magazine Best of Year and Interior Design Magazine Best of Year in Green Design for its Hudson Passive Project case-study house. Wedlick received the 2003 Cooper Hewitt National Design Triennial and in 2007 Architectural Digest named him among the top 100 architects. His work has been featured numerous times on the cover of the New York Times Home section and in The Washington Post, USA Today, Architectural Digest, Interior Design, and numerous other publications. Wedlick is the author or co-author of The Good Home, Good House Parts, and Designing the Good Home. He has taught design and architecture at the University of Pennsylvania, Parsons School of Design, and City College of New York.
