ABSTRACT

This chapter stresses the teacher must carry on with the sound principles that underpin their pedagogy. Technology in teaching is not a new thing. Computers, devices and interactive whiteboards have been around for a long time already so it does not necessarily mean that teacher has to change the way they already use information and communication technology (ICT) throughout their lessons and teaching. This chapter gives some guidance on ways to approach both planning to use ICT and delivering it in the classroom. Good practice is a set of procedures, more than anything that enables someone to produce a consistent and expected outcome. Teaching in a classroom, or even on a sports field, where the students have access to technology can be challenging. These devices or fixed desktop PCs are points of interaction and hold all the temporary long-term memory that the students access at will through a search engine.
