ABSTRACT

In Chapter 1 we could see that an important number of studies focused on the benefits of RJ for victims. We went through different positive effects that victims could experience and concluded that the available information was insufficient to understand how RJ actually works. In Chapter 2, I discussed what ‘restoration’ means for victims and identified some dimensions that are relevant in victims’ meaning-making construction process. In Chapter 3 we discussed the influencing factors of victim participation.
