ABSTRACT
Most Slovene prepositions have a relatively constant meaning and a clear English equivalent. However, some prepositions are extremely elusive in their meaning and purely idiomatic in use. For example ob + loc. can be translated as ‘at, beside, by, along, next to, against, in, over, on’.
