ABSTRACT
There are two types of nouns in Slovene: proper nouns and common nouns.
Proper nouns refer to a particular person, place or institution by name, e.g. Antón; Álpe ‘the Alps’; Sáva ‘the river Sava’; Ljubljána; Ánglija ‘England’; Tríglav ‘Tríglav mountain’.
