ABSTRACT

Through time, the temple and the tomb were merged, and the spatial relationships transformed in multiple ways enlarging spaces to enter, like Gothic cathedrals, or scaling the divine into carried devotionals or transportable sacred spaces like alters and devotionals. As pointed out in The Art of Sculpture, more than nine-tenths of the sculptures found in museums are devoted to the human form. As with the two-dimensional materials described, tridimensional materials also present with inherent qualities that hold the potentiality of the expressive idea. An expressive process is suitable for both group and individual work or may arise spontaneously as described in the case of Cynthia. Not all factors may be noticeable to the same degree in each group, just as it is so in group psychotherapy. Yalom described the corrective recapitulation of the primary family group as one of the therapeutic factors of group process.
