ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts of key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book focuses on cooperative education as a new type of educational programme to answer to the needs of industrial societies with a large population of educated labour force. In economic analysis was employed to describe the functions of cooperative education. It was argued that cooperative education can play the same role as the academic programme for forming human capital and signalling at university as well as OJT at workplace. In statistical and econometric tools were introduced to identify the effectiveness of cooperative education. This has to be solved by more qualitative investigation as opposed to the quantitative investigation of this book. This is not to say one approach is better than the other, but rather they need to be employed alongside. As much as cooperative education is a multidisciplinary field, so should its investigation be.
