ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the various chapters of this book. This book collates the wealth of knowledge on team training into a form that was insightful and comprehensive, yet simultaneously practical and helpful. It states that definitely there will be a well-established science behind teamwork and training. The book discusses about effective evaluation of team training. It explores what drives effective team performance, what makes for an effective learning and training program, and how to best design and deliver effective team training programs. The book highlights the importance of the team training needs analysis (TTNA) for determining whether team training is appropriate and also for garnering support for team training from organizational leadership and other stakeholders. It concludes that team training requires careful assessment and evaluation, delivery targeted to specific teamwork competencies, and the support of a variety of stakeholders, prior to, during, and after team training.
