ABSTRACT
Nearly everyone complains about their memory. In spite of the power and elegance of the human memory system, it is by no means infallible and we have to learn to live with that fallibility. It is regarded as much more acceptable to blame a social lapse on “a terrible memory,” rather than to attribute it to stupidity or insensitivity.
