ABSTRACT

In the global village, sport is becoming a common social

currency that everyone, everywhere can trade in and

understand. Technology is helping to revolutionise this global

village, particularly sport. We expect races to be timed to

hundredths of a second, blood samples to be analysed down

to particles per million, instant video play-backs, optional

camera positions on television, and computer-generated

images to determine if a ball is in or out.
