ABSTRACT

This paper deals with an episode used by Heathcote during a workshop on Mantle of the Expert in 2008. It revisits some key elements of this approach, but also describes ways in which the 33 Conventions listed in ‘Signs and portents’ in Part II can be used to develop encounters with an ‘other’ – a role introduced to deepen the work of a Mantle of the Expert ‘enterprise’ – in this case a firm bottling and marketing spring water.
