ABSTRACT
This chapter supports child authors in developing their use of internal conflict in their emerging story mark making or writing, revealing this through their use of dialogue, narration and a character's action's with support when making difficult choices or decisions. The chapter tells us to support child authors in identifying times when they have been tempted to take something which does not belong to them and also during circle time encourage child authors to share their experiences of feeling guilty. A common form of external conflict present in children's stories is that of 'man versus man'. It also provide child authors with digital cameras for them to take images of the setting. Help child authors to quickly recognise high frequency words. Jones claims that the weather has played an important role in many military operations throughout history. The chapter concluded by stimulating story writing ideas to engage child authors and enrich professional practices.
